ROOTED IN CHANGE

ROOTED IN CHANGE

Every year my best friends and I sit down to create a moodboard, calling in all the good things we hope to manifest for the year ahead. When we gathered this past time, I had a strong feeling that 2025 would bring a wave of change—not just for me, but for my girls, and for the collective as well. With Pluto shifting into Aquarius and the state of the world around us, I can see that instinct was right. Staying positive has felt like a full-time job.

We moved to Connecticut at the end of May, and the transition hasn’t been the smoothest. I won’t get into specifics just yet, but some major life changes happened all at once. Maybe one day, when I’ve healed a bit more, I’ll be ready to share. For now, I can only describe it as walking through a portal that aged and matured me ten years in a matter of months.

Still, beyond the heartbreak and the challenge of uprooting our lives to start over across the country, I’ve found myself in a place that feels quietly magical. The landscape here is lush—green grass, towering trees, and the constant chorus of birds, insects, and children. It’s exactly what I pictured when we dreamed of moving here, and in those moments I feel a deep gratitude.

With the kids back in school and fall on the horizon, I finally feel like I can start settling into a rhythm again—rededicating myself to the business, the brand, and the creative practices that had to take a back seat during all the upheaval. My intuition feels sharper, and my creativity is beginning to deepen in ways that surprise me.

Perhaps it’s because I’m tucked away in the forest with three children and not many friends yet, but I’ve been creating non-stop—cooking, baking, crafting, drawing, sewing… all the -ings. It has been a saving grace, pulling me out of my head and back into my hands. When we first arrived, I joked that I was entering my “witchy Martha Stewart era,” but it’s becoming my reality—and I kind of love it.
I’m looking forward to the seasonal shifts and everything fall and winter bring. And of course, we have some exciting vintage pieces and new designs launching soon, which I can’t wait to share with you.

Thank you, truly, for being here. For supporting me, the brand, and this journey. You are the best community a designer—and a mother—could ever ask for.
